1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use Command Voice at commandvoice.app ("Command Voice", "we", "us"). By creating an account, using the free take, or buying a membership, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. What Command Voice is

Command Voice is a speaking-practice service: you record yourself, get feedback on how you come across, and practise again. It is coaching for everyday speaking, not professional, medical, psychological or legal advice, and we don't promise any particular result such as a job, promotion or outcome.

The service is in beta. Features may change, and you may hit the odd glitch. If you do, use the feedback button on any page and we'll fix it.

3. Your account

Eligibility - You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
Keep it secure - Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Accurate details - Give us a real email address so we can reach you about your account.

4. Your recordings and your voice

Yours - Your recordings stay yours. You give us permission to process them only to run the service for you, as described in our privacy notice.
Your own voice only - Command Voice can create a copy of your voice from your sample so you can hear a stronger version of your own take. Only record your own voice. Never upload anyone else's voice or use the service to imitate another person.
How long it's kept - For members, your voice copy is kept while your membership is active. For everyone else it is deleted automatically after 24 hours. Deleting your account deletes it.

5. Fair use

Please don't:

Misuse - use the service for anything unlawful, harmful, hateful or deceptive;
Abuse - try to break, overload, copy or resell the service, or get around its limits;
Share access - share your account or let others use your membership.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why where we can.

6. Memberships and payment

Plans - Founding Monthly (R199 a month), Founding Annual (R1,790 a year) and Founding Lifetime (a once-off payment, sold in limited batches). Prices are in South African rand and shown before you pay.
Included - Your own voice kept while you're a member, and five Boardroom sessions a month. Practice and feedback have a fair-use soft cap of 60 a month.
Renewal - Monthly and annual memberships renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time from your billing page; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Payments - Processed securely by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
Price changes - If we change the price of a renewing membership, we'll tell you before it applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Command Voice running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features; if we stop the paid service altogether, we'll give you notice and refund any unused part of a prepaid period.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under South African law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act.

9. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Danger zone. This deletes your voice copy and the recordings we hold. Cancelling a membership and deleting your account are separate steps.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.

11. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Questions: support@commandvoice.app.
